BC Radnički may well be named the youngest baby in the regional elite, not only because of its short status in the NLB League but also because it was founded only in 1994 as the second club in Vršac. First playing in lower divisions under the name BC Kondivik the team quickly climbed toward the Serbian elite, for which it qualified in 2004, when it was renamed to Swisslions Takovo. It indeed keept the first-division status only for one season and had to return to a lower division due to reorganization already in 2006 but at the end of the decade gets a place among the elite again. Moreover, in 2008/09 Swisslions Takovo even qaulified for the national league play-off and assures a place in the NLB League for the 2009/10. A turbulant summer almost forced the club to close its doors and give up a prestigious status since the main sponsor walker away but eventually everything sorted out by moving the whole club from Vršac to Kragujevac, a new base for the newely named club BC Radnički.
